Meizu 21's screen resolution and battery capacity officially announced
Meizu officially announces the eagerly awaited screen resolution and battery capacity details of its new model 21, raising expectations among tech lovers.
Meizu is set to announce the Meizu 21, which features the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, on Nov. 30 in China. The company has recently revealed the front design of the smartphone and followed up by rolling out a couple of posters, confirming its display resolution and battery size.
The Meizu 21 is officially confirmed to come with a 6.55-inch Samsung AMOLED display. The screen, as highlighted in the latest promotional materials, will boast a 1.5K resolution and is equipped with 1920Hz PWM dimming. Additionally, it has earned SGS low blue light certification and flicker-free certification. The display, flanked by symmetrical 1.74mm bezels on all sides, is set to offer an impressive viewing experience.

Under the hood, the Meizu 21 houses the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, a component shared by various flagship phones from brands like Xiaomi, iQOO, Nubia, Realme, and OnePlus. Meizu, however, promises enhanced performance compared to its competitors, citing the integration of their OneMind 10.5 AI engine. This engine is tailored to offer Meizu-specific customizations, aiming to optimize the user experience.
Further adding to its list of features, Meizu has also confirmed that the phone will pack a 4,800mAh battery. The brand asserts that, thanks to the OneMind 10.5 and the energy-efficient Samsung AMOLED screen, the phone can achieve an impressive 8.2 hours in extreme endurance mode. This means the Meizu 21, when tested from a full charge to depletion under heavy usage conditions, shows remarkable endurance, outperforming competitors with a 5,100mAh battery that manages 7.4 hours under similar testing.
Additionally, the 3C certification for the Meizu 21 suggests it may support 80W fast charging. Interestingly, there has been no information or teasers about the Meizu 21 Pro, hinting that it might not launch alongside the Meizu 21 on Nov. 30.
