Meizu 21 was spotted during the certification process
New details have emerged about the Meizu 21, developed by the Chinese tech company Meizu, eagerly awaited by smartphone enthusiasts.
The buzz around Meizu's upcoming 21 series has started to gather momentum online. Recent registrations with the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) have revealed a phone with the model number M461Q. Industry insiders are speculating that this might be one of the anticipated models from the Meizu 21 series. Further fueling these speculations are rumors suggesting that the phone will harness the power of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor.
While the certification itself doesn't shed much light on the phone's specifics, reliable sources like Digital Chat Station have dropped hints about what to expect. Main upgrades are forecasted in the device's core configurations, with only subtle tweaks in its exterior design.
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor's inclusion could be the crown jewel of these upgrades. This next-generation flagship mobile processor from Qualcomm is set to be unveiled at the end of October 2023.

The camera department is also expected to receive a significant boost. Leaks hint at a 50-megapixel primary camera, bolstered by a large outsole sensor. There are speculations about two versions: the standard one might flaunt a traditional telephoto lens, whereas the Pro variant could be equipped with a more advanced periscope telephoto lens. Fans of the brand would be pleased to know that the flat-screen design, a prominent feature of the Meizu 20 series, is likely to be retained.
It's worth noting that Meizu's re-entry into the flagship smartphone arena was marked by the launch of the Meizu 20 series earlier this year. This lineup showcased three distinct models: the Meizu 20, Meizu 20 Pro, and the Meizu 20 INFINITY Unbounded Edition. All these models were powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processors.
