OnePlus recently set the tech world abuzz with the launch of the OnePlus Ace 2 Pro smartphone in China, causing quite a sensation. According to DCS, the upcoming OnePlus Ace smartphone is set to inherit the powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, a feature already present in the Ace 2 Pro. This tantalizing detail suggests that this upcoming device could possibly be none other than the vanilla OnePlus Ace 3. Interestingly, the leaked spec sheet for the upcoming OnePlus 12R aligns with the specs of the OnePlus Ace 3, hinting at the possibility of the Ace 3 being a rebranded 12R designed specifically for the Chinese market.

DCS has also revealed some enticing specifications for this forthcoming device, including a 6.74-inch punch-hole OLED display with elegantly curved edges, a silky-smooth 120Hz refresh rate, and an impressive 1.5K resolution. The display will also boast high-frequency PMM dimming support for an enhanced viewing experience.

Under the hood, we can expect the mighty 3.2GHz Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip to be paired with a generous 16GB or even 24GB of LPDDR5x RAM, along with storage options of 512GB or a whopping 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. Given the trends in the Chinese Android smartphone market, the possibility of a 24GB + 1TB configuration doesn't seem far-fetched.

When it comes to photography, the device is rumored to sport a 50-megapixel main camera equipped with a Sony IMX890 sensor, alongside an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens courtesy of OmniVision OV8D10, and a 32-megapixel telephoto camera housing the IMX709 sensor, potentially offering up to 2x optical zoom. Powering all these features, a substantial 5,500mAh battery is expected to be on board, with the added convenience of 100W fast charging support, promising a robust and reliable device for tech enthusiasts.
