Leaked images reveals first official look at Google Pixel Fold
The first official-looking image of the Google Pixel Fold has been revealed, showing the device's clean foldable design.
An image claiming to be the first official look at the upcoming Google Pixel Fold has been leaked after several weeks of rumors and speculation. The image shows the device partially unfolded, revealing a large flexible screen with a center crease. The leaked images was shared on Twitter by reliable leaker Evan Blass who has previously leaked accurate information about other smartphones.
First official Google Pixel Fold renders reveal sleek and compact design
The newly leaked renders of the Pixel Fold were shared on Twitter by well-known leaker Evan Blass. The image shows the phone in the Obsidian colorway and is considered one of the best-looking foldable devices to date, according to Blass.
Although the leaked image of the Pixel Fold only shows the exterior of the device, it provides a clear view of the hinge, which seems to be extremely slim. While this could be due to the angle of the photo, it appears that the Google Pixel Fold may have a thinner hinge compared to other foldable phones like Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold series.
The second render of the Pixel Fold shows the device when it is folded, and it looks good and functional when compared to other foldable phones in the market. Although the bezels appear to be slightly thicker than some other devices, it is unlikely to make a significant difference.
Google Pixel Fold announcement date
The Pixel Fold will be officially announced on May 10th this year and will come with Google's Tensor G2 chipset. The phone will be available in two storage options and multiple colors.
According to 9to5Google, a leaked retail listing for the Pixel Fold suggests that it will be launched in mid-June, but a leak from Prosser indicates a launch on June 27.
