In addition to this release, whispers in the tech world suggest Honor may be preparing to unveil two foldable smartphones on July 12, also for the Chinese market. The impending launch of these foldable devices seems increasingly likely, as approvals from China’s MIIT authority have been granted recently.
Earlier in May, MIIT authority sanctioned one of Honor's anticipated foldable phones, identified by the model number VER-AN10. This device was later noted on the 3C certification platform, showing it will come with a 66W charger. Currently, another of Honor's foldable phones, carrying the model number VER-AN00, has been acknowledged with an MIIT certification.

Tech insider WHY LAB has divulged that the phone identified by model number VER-AN10 will be released under the name Honor Magic V2, and will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 SoC. Additionally, WHY LAB suggests that the model number VER-AN00 is set to be launched as the Honor Magic V2 Supreme Edition, which will house the powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip.
Preliminary reports have provided a glimpse into the potential specifications of the Honor Magic V2. It is expected to come equipped with a bespoke 2K LTPO foldable screen, supporting high-frequency dimming. The device will be powered by a 5,000mAh dual-cell battery that facilitates 66W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.
Design-wise, the Magic V2 is anticipated to sport a slim and lightweight design, akin to the Mate X3, with dimensions of 156.9 x 72.4 x 11.8mm in its folded state and a weight of approximately 240 grams. This new addition to the foldable phone sector is expected to pose stiff competition to the soon-to-be-released Xiaomi MIX Fold 3 and the OPPO Find N3, which are eagerly anticipated in the Chinese market.
