This month, OnePlus expanded its smartphone range with the introduction of the OnePlus 12, featuring the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, in the Chinese market. Following this, the company is now preparing to launch the Ace 3, powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, in China. Amidst these developments, a new rumor from tipster Digital Chat Station suggests that OnePlus is also working on a mid-range Ace-branded phone.

The rumored device, potentially named the OnePlus Ace 3V, is expected to be equipped with the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset. It is reported to feature a flat display offering a 1.5K resolution. Although the exact name of the device hasn't been confirmed, indications are that it will be marketed as the OnePlus Ace 3V upon its release.

The OnePlus Ace 3V is anticipated to succeed the Ace 2V, which was launched in March 2023. Based on recent trends of earlier launches compared to their predecessors, it is speculated that the Ace 3V might be unveiled as early as February or March 2024.

It is worth noting that the OnePlus Ace 2V was rebranded as the OnePlus Nord 3 for the global market. This pattern suggests that the upcoming Ace 3V could be introduced globally under the OnePlus Nord 4 or Nord 5 moniker. However, specific details about the Ace 3V or Nord 4/5 remain under wraps. The Ace 2V was introduced at a price of 2,299 Yuan (~$321), so the Ace 3V might be priced similarly.

In addition to OnePlus's plans, the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chip has been gaining popularity. This chipset has already been featured in devices like the Honor 100 and the Vivo S18. Moreover, it is expected to power the upcoming Realme 12 Pro series, set to launch in the first quarter of 2024.
