iQOO is gearing up to unveil its new Z8 series of smartphones on August 31 in China. Ahead of this launch, the brand has been dropping hints and teasers about the key features of the Z8 lineup. Through a series of posts on the social media platform, Weibo, iQOO has shed light on the color options and primary camera details for the upcoming iQOO Z8.

The company has made it clear that the iQOO Z8 will be outfitted with a 64-megapixel main camera, enhanced with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). Furthermore, it's been indicated that this phone possesses the capability to take 2x portrait shots. This revelation has led to speculations that the Z8 will feature a dual-camera system, comprising of a 64-megapixel primary sensor paired with a 2-megapixel secondary lens.

Adding to the aesthetics of the device, iQOO has also provided glimpses of the iQOO Z8's color palette. Prospective buyers can expect to see variants in captivating shades, namely Moon Porcelain White, Yaoye Black, and Hoshino Blue.

On the technical front, rumors suggest the iQOO Z8 will sport a 6.64-inch FHD+ LCD display with a refreshing rate of 120Hz. Under the hood, it's believed to be powered by the Dimensity 8200 chipset, backed by a robust 5,000mAh battery that supports 120W fast charging. The premium model in the Z8 series is rumored to pack a hefty 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM coupled with 512 GB of UFS 3.1 storage capacity.

Software-wise, the device is set to run on the OriginOS 3.0, built atop Android 13. The camera system, apart from the aforementioned rear setup, is likely to include a 16-megapixel front-facing camera. For added security, the phone will feature a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.

Simultaneously, there's chatter about the launch of the iQOO Z8x alongside the iQOO Z8. This variant is expected to be driven by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 processor and may offer up to 12 GB of LPDDR4x RAM, 256 GB of UFS 2.2 storage, a 6,000mAh battery that supports 44W fast charging, and a primary 50-megapixel camera. Most of its other features are presumed to mirror those of the iQOO Z8.
