On December 27, iQOO is set to announce its latest offerings in the smartphone market, the iQOO Neo 9 and Neo 9 Pro, in China. These devices, positioned as more affordable alternatives to the iQOO 12 and 12 Pro, are nonetheless expected to boast top-notch specifications. The anticipation around these new models has been further fueled by the brand's recent release of display details for both smartphones.

iQOO has confirmed that the Neo 9 series will feature a cutting-edge 1.5K 144Hz 8T all-weather super-sensing screen. This display utilizes flagship-level LTPO technology, known for its speed and energy efficiency. The screen's capability to sustain 100 hours of continuous touch sets a new industry standard for the lowest click latency, marking a significant advancement in smartphone display technology.

In addition to these impressive display features, the new phones will introduce a novel dimming mode and chip-level smart eye protection 2.0. These advancements have earned the devices SGS dual certification for low blue light and low flicker. An OTA update scheduled for January will enable these features, enhancing the user experience further.

Powering the Neo 9 models is iQOO's self-developed e-sports chip Q1, designed to provide an unparalleled gaming experience characterized by high-definition graphics, intricate detail, and low latency. While the exact screen sizes of the phones have not been confirmed, both are expected to feature a 6.78-inch OLED panel with an in-screen fingerprint sensor.

The hardware configurations of these models are equally impressive. The iQOO Neo 9 will be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, while the Pro model will feature the Dimensity 9300 SoC. Both devices are expected to house a 5,160mAh battery supporting 120W fast charging.

Camera-wise, the Neo 9 is likely to sport a 50-megapixel + 8-megapixel (ultra-wide) dual-camera system, whereas the Neo 9 Pro is expected to boast a 50-megapixel + 50-megapixel (ultra-wide) dual-camera system. Both models are anticipated to include a 16-megapixel front camera. Running on the latest OriginOS 4-based Android 14, the Neo 9 series is poised to offer a cutting-edge user experience.

With these advancements, iQOO continues to solidify its position in the competitive smartphone market, offering devices that combine affordability with high-end features.
