The iQOO Neo 9 series, before its market launch, achieved a significant milestone by doubling the first-day sales of the Neo 8 with its pre-orders.
iQOO, the innovative smartphone manufacturer, has recently unveiled its latest offerings - the Neo 9 and Neo 9 Pro - in China. These devices, embodying the pinnacle of modern smartphone technology, feature top-of-the-line processors, cutting-edge AMOLED displays, swift charging capabilities, and much more. Following their launch, both models were immediately available for pre-order and are set to hit the shelves on December 30.
The response to these new smartphones has been overwhelmingly positive in mainland China. iQOO reports that within just an hour of initiating the pre-sale for the Neo 9 series, the sales volume surpassed the entire day's pre-sale figures of their predecessors, the Neo 8 series. This remarkable feat underscores the growing consumer enthusiasm for iQOO's products.
On the first day of pre-order alone, the Neo 9 series achieved a sales volume 200% greater than the deposit pre-orders for the Neo 8 series during the same period. This signifies that the Neo 9 series didn't just attract double the deposit amount but also sold twice as many units compared to the Neo 8 series on its opening day of pre-orders.

Delving into the specifications, both the Neo 9 and Neo 9 Pro boast a large 6.78-inch 1.5K OLED display, enhancing the user experience with a 144Hz refresh rate and HDR10+ support. Under the hood, the Neo 9 is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, while the Neo 9 Pro features the Dimensity 9300. Both variants offer up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage, catering to the needs of power users.
The devices are equipped with a robust 6K VC cooling system, ensuring optimal performance during intensive gaming sessions. They house a 5,160mAh battery, supported by 120W fast charging technology, providing users with prolonged usage and minimal downtime.
For photography enthusiasts, the Neo 9 series does not disappoint. The devices are equipped with a 50MP Sony IMX920 main camera with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), complemented by an 8MP ultra-wide lens on the Neo 9 and a 50MP ultra-wide on the Pro. Additionally, both models feature an 8MP lens for selfies.
Other notable features include dual speakers, an IR blaster, an X-Axis linear motor, and cutting-edge WiFi-7 support. The smartphones operate on Android 14, enhanced with OriginOS 4. The pricing is competitive, with the iQOO Neo 9 starting at CNY 2,299 ($321) for the 12GB + 256GB variant, and the Neo 9 Pro beginning at CNY 2,999 ($419) for the same configuration. Both models are available in a variety of colors: Red, White Soul, Nautical Blue, and Fighting Black.
