iPhone 15 will not be sold in the EU!
Apple has been getting ready to introduce their iPhone 15 this year, yet it looks like it is not gonna be sold in the EU.
Apple has been having some problems regarding to Lightning connector. Although some things got certain the ongoing problem is still on.
The company has agreed to give up its Lighting connector and finally switch to USB-C with the iPhone 15 due to the intense conflict with EU lawmakers. But Apple, is looking for ways to get around the rules.
Apple might have problems in EU market
Devices that do not meet the common charger requirements "will not be allowed on the EU market," according to an article originally published by Die Zeit and later covered by AppleInsider. The quote comes directly from senior Brussels official Thierry Breton.
In essence, the EU Commission is directly instructing Apple that the iPhone 15 will be excluded from one of the world's largest markets if the company implements its plan to restrict the USB-C port's functionality. A few rumors have suggested that the Cupertino company is looking into ways to make certain USB-C features only available when a proprietary Apple cable is used. Naturally, this defeats the original purpose of a standard charging port.
