iPhone 15 is rumored to feature Sony's most excellent camera. This is known as state-of-the-art image sensor.
Following the launch of the iPhone 14, rumors about the iPhone 15 is accelerating even we are really far away from its launch. One of the first information about the iPhone 15 series was about its design. A new report claimed that the iPhone 15 series will have a new frame design. Allegedly, the rear corners of the series, which will be introduced next year, will no longer be square, but round.
However, today new rumors is about the optics of iPhone 15. According to last reports, iPhone 15 will be equipped with state-of-the-art image sensor from Sony for better low-light performance.
iPhone 15 will have a new camera from Sony
A new report by Nikkei Asia has revealed the first information about the device's camera. According to the report, iPhone 15 will be equipped with a lens that is more capable two times than Sony's existing cameras along with doubling the saturation signal level.
This means that iPhone 15's camera with its light-gathering capacity, will theoretically help reduce noise and improve its dynamic range better than previous iPhone models.
Furthermore, report unveils that Sony's latest sensor technology uses a new semiconductor architecture by placing photodiodes and transistors on separate substrate layers, allowing the sensor to add more photodiodes to the separated layer. In addition, Sony is expected to use this sensor technology not only in following iPhone 15 models, but also in other brand phones.
