iPhone 15 series RAM options are now confirmed
Fresh news keeps coming from the iPhone 15 series that smartphone enthusiasts eagerly await.
The iPhone 15 Pro models are anticipated to be unveiled in early September, and the rumor mill is buzzing with new information. Sources indicate that these new models will be equipped with the 3nm A17 Bionic chip, boasting 6 CPU and 6 GPU cores for enhanced processing and graphical capabilities. Additionally, versions of the iPhone 15 Pro with larger storage capacities might be armed with 8GB of RAM instead of the standard 6GB.
Previously, it was believed that the iPhone 15 Pro models would consistently offer 6GB of RAM, matching the iPhone 14 Pro's specs. However, a prominent leaker, Unknownz21, suggests Apple has experimented with both 6GB and 8GB RAM configurations for the iPhone 15 Pro, equipped with the A17 Bionic chip. The final decision, be it 6GB or 8GB, remains undisclosed.
iPhone 15 series RAM options are now confirmed
If the company has indeed been testing both configurations, the iPhone 15 Pro's base model with 256GB of storage might come with 6GB of RAM, while versions with 512GB or more could feature 8GB of RAM. Alternatively, only the 1TB and 2TB storage options might boast 8GB, leaving other models with 6GB.
The leaker referenced RAM configurations with terms like "POP, COLL + 6G" and "POP, COLL + 8G". While the 8GB RAM could potentially enhance multitasking capabilities, Apple's optimization might minimize the perceptible difference. The company might even choose to offer the 8GB RAM option across all iPhone 15 Pro models, or conversely, decide against introducing the 8GB version after preliminary tests.
Coupling 8GB RAM with the A17 Bionic chip could indeed elevate the device's performance, enhancing both single and multi-core operations. Further exciting the fans, the iPhone 15 Pro models are believed to feature a grade 5 titanium chassis, ensuring durability while maintaining a lightweight design. Yet, the spotlight remains on the 3nm A17 Bionic SoC. Apple is also speculated to introduce the iPhone 15 Pro models alongside new Apple Watch variants this September.
