iPhone 14 series display issue to be addressed in upcoming iOS update
Apple takes official action against the horizontal lines of green and yellow flashes on the display of iPhone 14 Pro series.
Several sources reported a month ago that a growing number of iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max users reported seeing horizontal lines of green and yellow flash on their display when the device was turned on. At the time, the specifics, including whether Apple was investigating the issue and whether it was a software or hardware issue, were unknown.
Apple has acknowledged the issue and dispelled speculation that it is caused by a hardware defect in a new memo, confirming that it is being investigated and that an iOS update to address it will be released soon.
"Apple is aware of the issue"
In an internal Apple memo which was observed by MacRumors, the Apple accepted that iPhone 14 Pro series users might “report that when they power on or unlock their phone, they briefly see horizontal lines flash across the screen.”
The company also stated “Apple is aware of the issue and a software update is coming soon that will resolve the issue."
iOS 16.3 is currently being tested by developers and participants in the public beta program; however, the release of that update is not anticipated for at least several more weeks.
Following the release of iOS 16.2 last month, Apple may soon release iOS 16.2.1 to address this and other issue that users report.
