Introducing Zenfone 10 in all its aspects
Almost all features of the Zenfone 10, expected to be introduced soon, have become known.
On June 29, Asus is expected to reveal its newest smartphone, the Zenfone 10, marking another milestone in the tech giant's history. Following the remarkable performance of the Zenfone 9, this fresh entrant promises a blend of compact design and premium features that continues to excite tech aficionados and everyday users alike.
A glimpse at the purported specifications gives an inkling of what awaits. Rumored to bear a striking resemblance to its predecessor in design, the Zenfone 10 seems to be featuring dual camera cutouts housed in metallic rings on the rear, keeping a similar silhouette with the enhancement of a slightly curved, flat-edge construction. This approach presumably improves the ergonomics and the grip of the phone, a factor made more impressive by the speculated metal frame and plastic rear finish.
The right side of the phone is likely to harbor the volume and power buttons, with the power button doubling as a smart key, providing easy access to app launching, Google Assistant, and the notification shade. Interestingly, there seems to be no trace of the side-mounted fingerprint scanner found in previous models.
The Zenfone 10 is also anticipated to feature a 5.9-inch AMOLED display that offers Full HD+ resolution and a fast refresh rate of 120Hz. While the selfie camera is discreetly tucked away in the top corner, the smartphone might come with a considerably slimmer chin bezel compared to its forerunner, and potentially house an in-display fingerprint scanner.
Beneath the surface, the device is expected to harness the power of Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, a leading-edge solution offering impressive performance. The chipset, based on TSMC's 4nm process, comprises a 3.2GHz Cortex-X3 prime core, four performance cores operating at 2.8GHz, and three efficiency cores clocked at 2.0GHz. Preliminary Geekbench scores of the Zenfone 10 demonstrate its potency, promising high performance for prospective users.
Further rumors suggest a choice of 8 GB or 16 GB RAM, with options of 256 GB or 512 GB of internal storage. Asus has reportedly managed to pack a considerable 5,000mAh battery into this compact device. Although exact details regarding its charging capabilities remain unconfirmed, there's speculation that it may support wireless charging, possibly improving upon the 30W fast charging technology offered in previous models.
As for its photography capabilities, the Zenfone 10 may receive a massive upgrade with a 200MP primary camera, a leap from the 50MP sensor in its predecessor. The sensor used could be the same ISOCELL HP2 featured in the Galaxy S23 Ultra. Besides the 200MP camera, the phone may include an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens, a six-axis Gaimball stabilizer, and a 32-megapixel selfie camera.
Finally, the Zenfone 10's pricing is expected to start at $699, a $50 increase from the previous model. However, given the speculative nature of this information, it is advised to await the official announcement on June 29.
