Long-rumored Galaxy A05 and Galaxy A05s have finally been officially introduced by Samsung.
Samsung has discreetly introduced its new Galaxy A05 and Galaxy A05s smartphones, with the spotlight on Malaysia for its initial launch. These models come as fresh additions to the brand's affordable range, and their updated specifications indicate that they're well-poised to take on rivals in the budget-friendly sector.
The Galaxy A05 showcases a 6.7-inch PLS LCD display, delivering HD+ resolution. Under the hood, it's equipped with MediaTek Helio G85 SoC, complemented by 6GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Users will appreciate the added flexibility of a MicroSD card slot and a dual-SIM tray. In terms of photography, the phone sports a dual-rear camera setup, with a 50MP primary camera paired with a 2MP depth sensor. On the front, an 8MP sensor caters to selfie enthusiasts and video callers. This model also allows for 1080p video recording at 60fps. Powering the device is a 5000mAh battery that supports 25W fast charging, though it misses out on a fingerprint sensor.

Its sibling, the Galaxy A05s, carries several improvements over the Galaxy A05. While it retains the 6.7-inch PLS LCD display, it steps up with Full HD+ resolution and boasts a 90Hz refresh rate. Driving this model is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 SoC, coupled with the same 6GB RAM and 128GB storage.
Camera enhancements are noticeable too, with a 50MP primary sensor, a 2MP depth camera, and an additional 2MP macro lens. The front-facing camera also receives an upgrade to 13MP. Both devices share the 5000mAh battery and 25W fast charging capability. Notably, the Galaxy A05s incorporates a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. On the connectivity front, both phones support 4G LTE, GPS, Bluetooth 5.3, USB 2.0 Type-C, and a 3.5mm audio jack. Customers can expect them in three color choices: Black, Light Green, and Silver.
