The Chinese tech giant Huawei seems poised to put its 5G issues firmly in the past. One indicator of this shift could be the Nova 12.

Huawei is reportedly gearing up to unveil two new smartphone series: the Nova 11 SE and the Nova 12. The Nova 11 SE, which recently passed the TENNA database, promises intriguing features, such as an impressive 108MP rear camera. However, the exact details about its chipset remain under wraps, but it is confirmed to support 4G connectivity.

The Nova 12 series is set to raise the bar with the inclusion of Kirin chipsets, signaling the potential for 5G connectivity. While it's expected that some overseas markets might get a different processor for the series, it's plausible that those regions would receive the non-5G variant. The standout features for the Pro version include state-of-the-art elements like satellite communication and the unique Star Flash technology. The standard Nova 12 promises a second-generation Kunlun curved glass screen and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. Powering the device is the anticipated Kirin 830 chipset. Its camera prowess is evident with a 50MP ultra-sensing lens, 8MP telephoto lens, and a 12MP wide-angle macro lens, while the front is set to feature a 60MP ultra-wide-angle lens for crystal-clear selfies. A robust 4,800mAh battery complemented by a rapid 88W wired charging feature is also expected.

The Nova 12 Pro, meanwhile, will share the second-generation Kunlun curved glass screen with its counterpart and will also have the 120Hz refresh rate. The Kirin 9000S chipset is expected to be at its heart. The rear camera setup is anticipated to comprise a 50MP main camera, a 50MP telephoto lens, and a 12MP wide-angle macro lens. The front camera, matching its standard version, is set to be 60MP. Moreover, the Pro is speculated to house a slightly more substantial 4,900mAh battery with the capability for an ultra-fast 100W wired charging.

The Nova 12 series is predicted to see a launch next month. In contrast, the Nova 11 SE is expected to grace the market later this month.
