Huawei is preparing for the imminent launch of its much-awaited flagship smartphone series, the Mate 60, set to hit the market later this year. Rumors about the upcoming device have been circulating regularly. According to reliable sources, including the well-known tipster Digital Chat Station, the successor to the Mate 50 is rumored to come with a 6.7-inch 1.5K OLED display. Additionally, the phone is anticipated to feature a flat panel design with slim bezels and a centered punch-hole camera.

The upcoming Mate 60 is rumored to bring a fresh front design, featuring a smart island cutout at the top. This innovative design is expected to include a pill-shaped punch hole housing the selfie camera and a 3D depth sensor at the center. Huawei is also set to introduce its own version of the Dynamic Island software feature, which will enhance the cutout area for notifications and app design, ultimately improving the user experience.
Recently, a render leaked by Digital Chat Station (DCS) revealed the rear panel of the Mate 60. The back of the phone is expected to showcase a circular camera island, reminiscent of the design seen on the Mate 40 series. While specific camera details are yet to be disclosed, Huawei is promising the inclusion of new sensors and an optimized periscope lens, aiming to enhance low-light photography capabilities. Notably, the device will feature image processing powered by Huawei's in-house technology, indicated by the XMAGE label on the device.
