Huawei, facing challenges post-embargo, now seems to be overcoming those challenging times.
At Huawei's recent event in China, the tech giant introduced an array of products, with highlights being the MatePad Pro tablet, FreeBuds Pro 3 TWS earphones, Watch Ultimate Gold Edition, and more. Among these, the Smart Screen V5 Pro television stands out, primarily because it's the first TV powered by Huawei's newly announced Honghu 900 chipset.
The prowess of the Honghu 900 chipset becomes evident when considering its substantial upgrades over the Honghu 818. It boasts a CPU performance that's purportedly 200 percent greater and surpasses the performance of the industry's leading chipsets by 81 percent. Moreover, when pitted against its predecessor, the Honghu 900 shines with a 160 percent enhancement in GPU performance and a whopping 212 percent improvement in NPU performance. This chipset comes fully equipped with a 4T + 1T dual NPU, ensuring top-tier AI computing capabilities.

A striking feature of the Honghu 900 is its ability to upscale 1080p content to 4K resolution at 120 fps, taking just 0.88 seconds. Furthermore, the processor can support an 8K resolution at the same frame rate. As technology continues to push boundaries, the Honghu 900 chipset stays ahead of the curve by offering advanced attributes such as scene and subject recognition, AI SR, AI HDR, and more.
Moving on to the Smart Screen V5 Pro, this flagship television is available in sizes of 98 and 85 inches. It features a Super MiniLED display and boasts an impressive 99 percent screen-to-body ratio. Under the hood, the television packs 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. Its audio capabilities are no less remarkable, with a 3.1.2 channel sound system that produces a 30W double bass and two 10W sky channels.
