There has been some rumors regarding Huawei's next flagship series. Some reports claimed that the company will use Kirin chips for the next line up, but the company now refuses all rumors regarding the situation. For its next-generation flagship P60 lineup of smartphones, Huawei has recently officially denied that it will be bringing back its proprietary HiSilicon Kirin series of chipsets.

huawei denies kirin rumorsAs we all know by know the US government placed the Chinese tech giant on the trade blacklist and prevented it from accessing any technology based in the United States. Chinese tech giant Huawei has suffered a lot because of this situation but still manages to keep going. On top of that some other bad news occured too. The company was also cut off from its primary chip supplier, TSMC, a year later. As a result, it was unable to fulfill orders for its HiSilicon fabless semiconductor subsidiary's proprietary chipset technology. However, since then, it has switched to using Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoCs from Qualcomm, which only support 4G networking and do not support 5G.

However, recent rumors suggested that the Huawei P60 series, the flagship smartphone line, might be getting Kiring chips back in 2023. The Chinese tech giant has put an end to all rumors, dismissing the idea that they will use the Kirin chips. In the statement, the company denies rumors that a new smartphone powered by the Kirin chipset will be released next year.
