Honor Magic Vs series launched, leads the way to a new era of the foldable market!

Honor was gearing up to launch Magic Vs series and as expected, company launched Honor Magic Vs and Honor Magic Vs Ultimate today. Moreover, the vanilla Vs are confirmed to launch in global markets as well. Here are all the details of the newest foldable smartphones.

Honor Magic Vs and Magic Vs Ultimate specifications and price

Honor Magic Vs is now thinner and lighter than its predecessor, where it comes with an all-new and improved gearless hinge design that allows the phone to close without gaps. Honor stated that the new hinge is carefully prepared with one-piece processing technology, and the fold mark will not be visible on the display of series.

The company states that while significantly reducing the number of parts, durability and robustness are preserved. According to tests carried out in Honor laboratories, the hinge, consisting of 4 parts, can withstand more than 400,000 folds per day.

The Honor Magic Vs offers 7.9-inch foldable OLED display with a resolution of 2272 x 1984 pixels and 90Hz refresh rate along with peak brightness of 800 nits. Then again, the outside show measures 6.45-inches with 2560 x 1080 pixel resolution. It has a peak brightness of 1200 nits and a refresh rate of up to 120Hz along with 431 PPI.

According to details, Honor Magic Vs is powered by Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset. It also functions on Android 12 based MagicOS 7.0. Moreover, smartphone is backed by 5,000mAh battery that charges at 66W. 

For the optics, Honor Magic Vs is equipped with 54-megapixel Sony IMX800 primary sensor, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens with macro feature and 8-megapixel camera with a 3x telephoto zoom feature. In addition, it has a 16-megapixel shooter on the external display.

There is also a new variant called Honor Magic Vs Ultimate. This variant is completely same with vanilla Honor Magic Vs in terms of whole specifications. However, the differences are the fact Vs Ultimate supports stylus pen besides much more premium golden wavy design. 

The vanilla Magic Vs is priced at $1,048 for 8GB + 256GB option where as Magic Vs Ultimate is priced at $1,521 for 16GB + 512GB option. The vanilla model has been confirmed to launch for global markets in Q1 2023 as well.
