Honor's intriguing new smartphone, Magic Vs 2, appeared on Geekbench this time.
Today, Honor made an official announcement regarding the unveiling of its new foldable phone, the Magic Vs 2, and the Watch 4 Pro. The event is scheduled for October 12, Thursday, in China. A teaser posted on the company's official Weibo account provides a sneak peek into these soon-to-be-launched products. As a successor to last year’s Magic Vs, the anticipation around Magic Vs 2 is growing. An early glimpse of the phone's specifications surfaced on the Geekbench platform, thanks to a tip from an X user named ZionsAnvin.
The listed details on Geekbench suggest the Honor Magic Vs 2 carries the model number VER-AN00. Under its hood, the phone sports a motherboard codenamed 'taro'. It is equipped with four cores operating at 1.80GHz, three at 2.50GHz, and a primary core at 3GHz, pointing to the likelihood of a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor. According to the benchmark database, this upcoming foldable device will be outfitted with a hefty 16GB RAM and will operate on the Android 13 OS right from the start.

Scoring 1,648 in Geekbench’s single-core and 4,201 in the multi-core tests, the phone seems promising. However, beyond these scores, the benchmarking platform doesn't provide any further information on the device.
From the official teaser, the Magic Vs 2 showcases a Light Blue hue and boasts a rectangular camera module on its rear, accommodating three sensors and an LED flash. Its slim design incorporates a power button on the right, possibly doubling as a fingerprint scanner. Furthermore, the phone is reportedly lighter than its predecessor. Speculations are rife that the Magic Vs 2 will support 66W fast charging and its camera array will include a 50MP ultra-wide and an 8MP telephoto lens.
