Here's the OPPO A18!
After teasing us with leaks, Chinese tech company OPPO finally introduced its budget-friendly smartphone model, A18.
OPPO has introduced a fresh addition to its A-series lineup, the OPPO A18, in the UAE market. This smartphone offers budget-friendly, entry-level features. Interestingly, the OPPO A18 shares many similarities with the OPPO A38, which was unveiled in various markets earlier in the month.
The design of the OPPO A18 boasts a 6.56-inch waterdrop notch display, featuring an HD+ resolution with 720 nits peak brightness and a smooth 90Hz refresh rate. Although it has a pronounced chin at its screen's bottom, the back panel showcases a distinctive pill-shaped camera module. Another design highlight is the power button, which also functions as a fingerprint scanner.
For those passionate about photography, the OPPO A18 offers a dual rear camera setup. This consists of an 8MP primary sensor coupled with a 2MP depth lens. The device also features a 5MP camera at the front, ideal for selfies.

Performance-wise, the heart of the OPPO A18 is a MediaTek Helio G85 processor. Accompanying the processor is 4GB RAM, an additional 4GB virtual RAM, and 128GB internal storage. This storage can be further expanded through its microSD card slot. Powering the device is a robust 5,000mAh battery. On the software front, the phone operates on ColorOS 13.1, which is built over the Android 13 OS.
Connectivity options on the OPPO A18 are comprehensive, including a USB-C port, 3.5mm headphone jack, 4G LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth, and GPS.
While OPPO remains tight-lipped about the A18's pricing in the UAE, it's known that the phone is available in two color variants: Glowing Black and Glowing Blue. It has also been listed on the official website for the country.
