Here are the Samsung models that won't receive Android 14
The eagerly anticipated Android 14 by smartphone enthusiasts won't reach some Samsung users.
The stable version of Android 14 is anticipated to launch in August, after which it should begin appearing on eligible devices. Over the past few years, Oppo has consistently been one of the first to introduce the latest Android version, apart from Google itself. However, Samsung has taken the lead by swiftly updating a vast number of devices across all regions.
Samsung, the South Korean electronics giant, typically initiates its new Android update rollout in late fall. Once started, the company maintains momentum, promptly pushing the update to numerous devices globally. It's expected that Samsung will follow the same pattern with the forthcoming Android 14-based One UI 6.0 software. However, it's worth noting that some popular devices from previous years won't be receiving this new software update.
According to Samsung's software update policy, several Samsung Galaxy smartphones, tablets, and foldables will not be eligible for the One UI 6.0 update based on Android 14. The list includes the following models:
Smartphones such as the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra, Galaxy Note 20, Galaxy Note 10 Lite, Galaxy S20 Ultra, Galaxy S20 Plus, Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20 FE, Galaxy S10 Lite, Galaxy A71, Galaxy A51, Galaxy A32, and Galaxy A22.
Tablets like the Galaxy Tab S7 Plus, Galaxy Tab S7, Galaxy Tab S6 Lite 2020, Galaxy Tab A8, and Galaxy Tab A7 Lite.
Foldables including Galaxy Z Fold 2 and Galaxy Z Flip.
While these devices won't receive the Android 14 update, they will continue to receive security patches for some time.
