Google introduced the Pixel 7 family recently. Launching with intense features, smartphones carried the series forward. Now, the models of the Pixel 8 series that Google will launch next year have been leaking lately. According to a tipster, Google Pixel 8 Pro might feature a ultrasonic fingerprint scanner.
Google Pixel 8 Pro switching to ultrasonic fingerprint sensor
The first news about the Pixel G10 model was shared on Twitter by a developer named Kuba Wojciechowski. But checking his tweets, it is reported that the modified version(G10) of the Pixel 7 Pro will have a new Qualcomm ultrasonic fingerprint scanner.
The new feature is speculated to be available on next year's Pixel 8 Pro. Samsung, vivo and other mobile giant switched to ultrasonic sensors a long time ago. Now the tech giant will offer a faster unlocking experience compared to the Pixel 7 Pro, which still uses an optical fingerprint scanner.
Google will be able to provide its customers with a faster and more seamless unlocking experience thanks to this new sensor. Other advantages include the ability to unlock the device even with an oily or wet finger. In addition, it is even safer than other fingerprint scanners.
Sadly, more specific information about the Pixel 8 Pro is still unknown for the time being. Despite this, the Tensor 3 chipset which may be manufactured by Samsung, is thought to take place on the new series. The whole series may also receive an upgrade in fast charging support along with the general performance improvements.
