Galaxy Z Fold 5 will be a more affordable phone than its predecessor!
The eagerly awaited name in the foldable smartphone sector, Galaxy Z Fold 5, could be a more affordable smartphone than its predecessor.
Samsung's range of foldable smartphones, particularly the Galaxy Z Fold series, has garnered significant attention. However, their steep prices have kept them out of reach for most customers. In a surprising turn of events, the South Korean tech powerhouse is reported to be considering a lower price point for the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5, compared to its predecessor, the Galaxy Z Fold 4.
According to recent reports from Revegnus, the forthcoming Galaxy Z Fold 5 might hit the market at $1,699, which would be a $100 reduction from the launch price of the Galaxy Z Fold 4. At this stage, these details should be considered speculation, so a healthy degree of skepticism is advised.
Preliminary leaks surrounding the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 suggest the smartphone could feature a 7.6-inch QHD+ AMOLED primary display and a 6.5-inch Full HD+ AMOLED cover display, both boasting a 120Hz refresh rate.
On the performance front, the phone is expected to house the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, complemented by 12GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage.

In terms of photography, the phone might feature a robust triple camera array on the rear, consisting of a 50MP primary camera, a 12MP ultra-wide sensor, and a 10MP telephoto lens. A 12MP selfie camera and a speculated 4MP under-display camera are likely to be on the front.
Out of the box, the foldable smartphone is likely to run on the Android 13 operating system, topped with Samsung's own One UI custom interface. The device could be powered by a 4,400mAh battery, supporting 45W fast charging and 15W wireless charging.
Samsung has officially announced its next Galaxy Unpacked event, set to take place in Seoul, South Korea. The exact date is yet to be confirmed, but the event is expected towards the end of July, possibly on July 27. Additionally, the company is anticipated to host a separate launch event in North America, unveiling the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 smartphones.
