Galaxy S24 series features continue to leak
South Korean tech giant Samsung expects more news from its anticipated next flagship, the Galaxy S24.
The Samsung Galaxy S24 series has recently made its presence known on the IMEI database. Speculations and leaks regarding this upcoming range have been circulating for some time. A recent insight from the South Korean source, Chosun, sheds light on what to expect from the S24 lineup. It's anticipated that Samsung will unveil the Galaxy S24 flagships around February, aligning with their traditional release cycle.
The forthcoming Galaxy S24 series is expected to feature standard, plus, and ultra versions, acting as successors to the existing S23 models. For context, the Galaxy S23 and S23 Plus are equipped with a base RAM of 8GB, while the S23 Ultra boasts a 12GB RAM. The new generation, specifically the Galaxy S24 and S24 Plus, is poised to receive enhancements in RAM and storage, boasting a base of 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. Notably, this configuration will be standardized across all Galaxy S24 series devices. This upgrade, even with a marginally higher price, is likely to appeal to Samsung aficionados.
The Galaxy S24 range is also set to incorporate Samsung's latest advancements in display technology. Every device in this lineup is slated to feature the company's cutting-edge M13 series OLED display panels. These are heralded to be both lighter and more energy-efficient than the preceding M12 panels, which are currently a part of devices like the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5. It's also worth noting that Samsung's commitment to the M13 panels might give the Galaxy S24 series an advantage over competitors, especially if rival brands, including Apple's forthcoming iPhone 15 series, opt for the older M12 panels.
