Anticipation looms in the tech world as Xiaomi is gearing up to introduce its 14 series, showcasing the potent Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, in the forthcoming November reveal. Simultaneously, Redmi, a subsidiary of Xiaomi, is diligently working on the development of its Redmi K70 series, with potential for an early November debut for models such as the Redmi K70e, Redmi K70, and Redmi K70 Pro.
A notable leak from the tipster, Panda is Bald, sheds light on some key features of the Redmi K70 and K70 Pro, particularly their battery and charging capabilities. According to this leak, the Redmi K70, is expected to be fitted with a 5,500mAh battery, and will also support 90W fast charging. This model, distinguished by the model number 2311DRK48C, has secured 3C certification in China, further validating its compatibility with 90W fast charging.
Features of Redmi K70 and K70 Pro are becoming clear
Previous reports about the Redmi K70 suggest that it will be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. A reflection on its predecessor, the K60, reveals it offered a charging capacity of only 67W. Additionally, the leak articulates that the K70 Pro will embrace a 5,120mAh battery and allow for 120W fast charging, while also boasting the more robust Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset.
A look back at the Redmi K60 and K60 Pro reveals that both supported 30W wireless charging. However, there are circulating rumors that the K70 and K70 Pro might abandon the wireless charging feature. Currently, detailed information about the battery and fast charging capabilities of the Redmi K70e remains undisclosed. A past model, the K60e, was equipped with the Dimensity 8200 chip, hence speculations surfaced that the K70e might be integrated with the yet-to-be-released Dimensity 8300 SoC. However, a recent revelation by Mukul Sharma posits that the K70e will instead feature the Dimensity 9200 Plus chipset.
Furthermore, the Chinese tipster hints that the Redmi K70 series might make its debut as early as December, with a possibility of a late November launch if things progress favorably.
