Exciting and bold claims have been made for the Redmi 13C 5G model
Those waiting for the budget-friendly smartphone, the Redmi 13C 5G, have started to get excited with the news coming in.
Recent buzz in the tech world indicates that Xiaomi is developing the Redmi 13C, as well as its rebranded version, the POCO C65. The Redmi 13C 5G has come into the limelight, revealing its model numbers and primary specifications.
Xiaomiui has reported varying model numbers for the Redmi 13C 5G, depending on the region. For China, it's 23124RN87C; for global distribution, it's 23124RN87G; and for India, it’s 23124RN87I. It's worth noting that these model numbers were previously, albeit mistakenly, linked with the Redmi 13C 4G. The latter device carries the model numbers 23100RN82L, 23108RN04Y, and 23106RN0DA, and is anticipated to be available in global and Indian markets, excluding China. In contrast, the POCO C65 is identified with model numbers 2310FPCA4G for global and 2310FPCA4I for India.

Diving into the technicalities, the Redmi 13C 5G will be equipped with the Dimensity 6100 Plus chipset. Meanwhile, both the Redmi 13C and POCO C65 will be powered by the Helio G85. As of now, the detailed specifications of the 5G variant remain under wraps. Leaked images of the Redmi 13C that surfaced earlier showcase a teardrop notch display, a USB-C port, and a 50-megapixel primary camera. Furthermore, the 13C series is anticipated to operate on MIUI 14, based on Android 13.
In terms of codenames, the Redmi 13C has been labeled “Gale,” whereas its 5G counterpart goes by “Air.” Surprisingly, a POCO variant for the Redmi 13C 5G seems to be missing from the lineup. Kacper Skrzypek, a renowned tipster, hinted that both Redmi models might have dual codenames: "Gale" could also be termed "Gust", and "Air" might also be known as "Atmos." Such nomenclature distinctions could signify region-specific variations or even relate to certain features like NFC. The industry is rife with speculations that the Redmi 13C series, along with POCO 65, might hit the markets this October.
