OnePlus is gearing up for an exciting start to 2024 with the anticipated announcement of the OnePlus Ace 3, slated for January 4 in China. While the official confirmation of the launch date is still pending, OnePlus has already begun teasing the public with glimpses of the device's design. A teaser video recently released showcases the OnePlus Ace 3 in an appealing Sand Gold color variant, offering a look at its rear design, which includes a circular camera module. Notably, the video cleverly omits the front design of the smartphone, leaving much to the imagination.
The OnePlus Ace 3's design features are becoming clearer, with the right side of the device hosting a volume rocker and power key, and the left edge incorporating an alert slider. Additionally, the top edge appears to house a microphone, an IR blaster, and a speaker hole. Despite these details, OnePlus remains tight-lipped about the official specifications of the device.

Rumored specifications of the OnePlus Ace 3 are circulating, suggesting the device will boast a 6.78-inch curved-edge OLED screen with a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The smartphone is expected to feature an in-screen fingerprint scanner for security and run on ColorOS 14-based Android 14. Powering the Ace 3 could be the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, with options for 12 GB or 16 GB of LPDDR5x RAM and storage options ranging from 256 GB to 1 TB using UFS 4.0 technology. A robust 5,500mAh battery with 100W charging is also rumored. For photography, the device may include a 16-megapixel selfie camera and a rear camera setup featuring an OIS-enabled IMX890 50-megapixel primary camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 2-megapixel macro camera. The starting price for the OnePlus Ace 3 is speculated to be around 3,299 Yuan (~$460).
Furthermore, OnePlus is expected to introduce the OnePlus Ace 3 globally under the moniker OnePlus 12R, with a launch event scheduled for January 23. This event is also set to feature the unveiling of the OnePlus 12 and several other devices.
