Samsung is on the verge of unveiling its next generation of foldable smartphones. However, even before the official announcement, the tech scene is already buzzing with rumors and speculation about the upcoming devices. In the latest development, leaked images of an unreleased protective case hint at the design aspects of the Galaxy Z Fold 5 model.
As per a recent report, pictures of the Galaxy Z Fold 5 model's protective case have been leaked by a Chinese blogger, providing a glimpse into the new phone's design. The live images reveal a long oval camera module, suggested by the cutout in the case. The front of the case, on the other hand, appears to accommodate a 6.2-inch AMOLED cover display with a 120Hz refresh rate.

From the information available thus far, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 seems to boast a 7.6-inch primary foldable AMOLED display, supporting QHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Both panels are likely to be covered with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 for enhanced durability. Internally, the device is expected to be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, paired with 12GB of RAM and storage options up to 1TB.
The Galaxy Z Fold 5's rear camera system is anticipated to include a triple camera setup, with a 50-megapixel primary sensor, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 10-megapixel telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom capabilities. The front-facing camera is predicted to be a 12-megapixel sensor for selfies. As per prior reports, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 will feature an enhanced hinge mechanism, with design renders of the same already making rounds on the internet.
