Apple is planning to expand OLED panels for iPad tablet models on the one hand, and for MacBook devices on the other.
In a recent report, the research firm Omdia predicts that Apple will unveil an iPad Pro with an OLED panel in 2024. The upcoming iPad Pro models are anticipated to come in two sizes, 11-inch and 13-inch, featuring Low-Temperature Polycrystalline Oxide (LTPO) OLED panels. Production for these new devices is slated to kick off in the early part of the coming year.
The decision to incorporate an OLED screen is set to bring a variety of advantages to the iPad Pro lineup. OLED displays are renowned for their excellent black levels, pixel-per-pixel light control, superior contrast, and High Dynamic Range (HDR) capabilities.
