Apple's cheapest iPhone got a raise: It is not cheap anymore
After all the economic problems going worldwide, Apple's average selling price is 1000 dollars.
Last years have been quite hard when it comes to smartphone market. Due to economic crisis and global inflation nothing is cheap anymore. This situation has affected iPhone prices as well. When it comes to buying a new device, choosing a budget friendly one is also important along with good features, yet it is becoming much more hard everyday with prices going up.
A recent survey conducted by Consumer Intelligence Research Partners (CIRP) found that the average selling price of an iPhone "has hit a new high of $988" in March 2023. As a point of comparison, the value was $882 at this point last year.
Apple's devices are much more expensive now
It is true Apple has managed to have a success story with its iPhone 14 series. The company basically tries to sell its high-end devices compared to other models. The strategy is simple. They make specs really separate from each other between models.
It goes without saying that Apple has done everything in its power to provide users with as many incentives as possible to spend more money on high-end iPhones. This year, the iPhone 14 Pro and the vanilla iPhone 14 grew even further apart. The latter was stuck with the iPhone 13's A15 chipset and the notch, while the former got the Dynamic Island cutout and a fancy new A16 processor.
