Apple is reportedly cancelling iPhone SE 4 next year

It's possible that Apple will never release the iPhone SE 4 that was supposed to be released next year. According to reports, Apple has informed its suppliers that it will not be releasing an iPhone SE of the fourth generation.

iPhone SE series might have been cancelled

Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who is known for making accurate prediction stated that iPhone SE 4 series might be cancelled. This follows a report from the same analyst from December stating that this budget iPhone is likely to be delayed until 2024 or cancelled. It turned out to be the latter.

Kuo stated in a post on Medium on Friday that Apple initially planned to release its first internal 5G chip in 2024 and allow the entry-level iPhone SE 4 to utilize from it. However, Kuo stated that iPhone SE 4 might have been cancelled.

However, Qualcomm 5G chips will continue to be used in the iPhone lineup in 2024 due to the rumored cancellation of the iPhone SE 4. If it is true, iPhone SE can now be viewed as 'dead'.

The reason why iPhone SE 4 might have been cancelled can be sought in the previous (third-gen) iPhone SE, that launched in 2022. This smartphone has seen low demand. Industry analysts stated that this low demand is due to the fact that the third-generation iPhone SE has the same features as the previous SE model.
