Apple's Notes app, available in the latest iOS 17, is renowned for its utility in jotting down quick musings and forming lists. However, it's currently facing substantial usability issues for individuals using right-to-left scripts such as Hebrew or Arabic. Numerous users have reported erratic cursor movements when employing these scripts, leading to heightened frustration.

The cursor appears to misalign with the text when one types from right to left. This misalignment renders the editing process nearly impossible. For instance, when attempting to insert a word into an existing line, the app mistakenly places it at the beginning of the line. Even basic functions like backspacing don't work as expected, with the cursor behaving as if it's positioned at the far right end of the text.
