Android users can now keep Wi-Fi on on plane
Being on the plane for long hours can be a nightmare sometimes, but now we have some good news for Android users.
Despite its software and hardware flaws, the Google Pixel does have some advantages. First and foremost, it gets the most recent Android features first. Last but not least, Pixel owners now have access to a brand-new feature that enables them to maintain their Wi-Fi connection even when the device is in airplane mode.
Android users can now keep Wi-Fi on on plane
A new feature that will be available on Google Pixel models running Android 13 enables users to maintain their Wi-Fi connection even when they activate airplane mode. Pixel owners will be able to do this even after turning on airplane mode. Beforehand, turning on off-line mode would separate both your cell and Wi-Fi associations. During airplane mode, users can adjust their settings and keep their Wi-Fi connection active thanks to this update. Simply follow these steps to enable this feature on your Pixel device:
Navigate to Settings > Network & Internet > Airplane mode on your device to activate airplane mode. Navigate to Settings > Network & Internet > WiFi to enable WiFi.
Go back to Settings > Network & Internet > Airplane mode to disable Airplane mode once your device is connected to WiFi. To utilize the new element of keeping Wi-Fi on in the wake of changing to Quite mode, you should have Android 13 introduced on your Pixel gadget. Go to Settings > About Phone and look for the "Android version" entry to determine which version of Android you are currently using. You can upgrade to Android 13 by downloading the most recent version from the Google Play Store or manually updating your device from the manufacturer.
