Mishaal Rahman, an EIC who used to work for XDA-Developers, has said that Google added some new BatteryManager APIs to Android 14 beta. It will work as considering device's manufacturing date, date of first use, charging policy, and state of health.

Any application with the BATTERY_STATS authorization can call these framework APIs, yet they are accessible just on Pixel gadgets running Android 14 Beta 2 or higher. With the Android 14 update Google plans to help all Android users utilize the feature and make the best of it. App will report APIs stats depending on the information the charging IC tracks, therefore the accuracy of the data it shares cannot be guaranteed. Whether or not this feature will be included by default in Android 14 is currently unknown.
