All features of the Pixel 8 series have surfaced
New information continues to arrive about the Pixel 8 series, eagerly awaited by smartphone enthusiasts.
The prior month marked the revelation of crucial display and camera specifications for the Google Pixel 8 smartphone series by Android Authority. The publication has now brought forth additional information concerning the battery capacity and charging potential of both the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro.
According to an internal source at Google, Android Authority reports that the Pixel 8 is set to house a 4,480mAh battery while supporting 24W wired charging. This signifies a step up from the Pixel 7, which had a slightly smaller 4,270mAh battery and accommodated 20W wired charging.
As for the Pixel 8 Pro, it is expected to feature a 4,950mAh battery with 27W wired charging. To put this in perspective, its forerunner boasted a 4,926mAh battery and supported 23W wired charging. Consistent with the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro, their respective successors will likely continue to offer 20W and 23W wireless charging.

Further enhancements to the Pixel 8 series include the inclusion of the Broadcom BCM4398 chip, enabling support for Wi-Fi 7. This latest generation of Wi-Fi connectivity promises faster speeds, increased stability, and reduced latency. It's worth noting, however, that the ultra-wideband will only be available on the Pixel 8 Pro, with the Pixel 8 missing out on this feature.
Google Pixel devices traditionally face limited availability compared to other manufacturers, prompting consumers to purchase them from unofficial sources at inflated prices, or import them devoid of warranty or support. However, there are indications that Google might extend the distribution of its Pixel devices.
By comparing the list of languages featured in the electronic warranty terms of the Pixel 8 and Pixel 7, it's speculated that the official distribution of the Pixel 8 could expand to include additional countries such as Austria, Switzerland, Belgium, and Portugal.
While the report lacks information regarding the Pixel 8 series' launch date, it can reasonably be anticipated that the debut may occur in October, following the pattern of previous Pixel phone releases.
