A smartphone exploded, injuring 3 people

In a startling incident in Nashik, Maharashtra, a combination of a smartphone and a deodorant can resulted in an explosion that had repercussions beyond the immediate vicinity. Typically, when mobile devices combust, the damage is limited to the nearby area or the individual in possession. Yet, this explosion in a Nashik residence was far from typical.

A smartphone exploded, injuring 3 people

Three residents sustained serious injuries in the blast and are currently receiving medical treatment. While the exact smartphone model involved remains unknown, the phone itself wasn't the sole catalyst. Positioned near the device was a can of deodorant. Many might not be aware, but deodorants are highly flammable. Even the slightest spark can trigger an explosion. This explosive combination not only shattered the windows of the house, where the phone was being charged, but it also damaged nearby vehicles. The impact was so intense that cars parked in the vicinity had their window panels completely shattered.

Pictures from the scene depict burnt metal railings and charred furniture within the home. Fortunately, no fatalities were reported from this incident. Investigations are ongoing to ascertain the primary cause of this unusual explosion.
