A fantastic feature is on the horizon for Samsung users!
As Android 14's official stable update approaches, Samsung is actively developing its OneUI 6 skin, which introduces an innovative feature called "Screen Hide." This feature enables users to turn off their device's display while still using an app, offering potential battery savings, particularly when using audio-centric applications like music streaming or podcasts.

To utilize Screen Hide, users need to download and install the "Good Guardians" app from the Galaxy Store.
Once installed, open the app and navigate to "Battery Guardian," then select the "Screen Hide" option. To conveniently access the Screen Hide feature via the Quick Settings panel, tap on "Add to Quick Settings Panel" and confirm by pressing "Add."
Once added to the Quick Settings panel, turning off the display while using an app becomes a breeze. Simply open the Quick Settings panel and tap on the Screen Hide icon. The display will go dark, but the app will continue running in the background.
During Screen Hide usage, the display enters a low-power mode, with brief information about the active app displayed. To reawaken the display, users can either double-tap the screen or press the power button.
It's essential to note that the Screen Hide feature is currently in beta, and there may be some minor issues during its use. Nevertheless, it represents a promising addition for Samsung device users seeking to extend their battery life.
