Nokia's DIY repairable phone is announced
The Nokia G22 was unveiled on Saturday ahead of Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. The Congress has seen many events and introductions made by techology giants. What is really exciting about this device is that it is definitely a DIY repaiable one. It has a removable back and internal design that makes it simple to swap out parts like the battery, screen, and charging port.
Through iFixit, HMD Global, the manufacturer of Nokia smartphones, will offer affordable professional repair options in addition to five years of "quick fix" repair guides and genuine parts.
The price of quality, long-lasting devices should not be a deciding factor for consumers. Adam Ferguson, Head of Product Marketing at HMD Global, stated, "The new Nokia G22 is purposefully built with a repairable design so you can use it even more time."
