Xiaomi introduces its new thermos model

Xiaomi's recent addition to their appliance lineup, the Mijia Smart Electric Thermos 5L, has begun its pre-order phase, with the process expected to last until October 11th. By placing a deposit during this window, customers can lock in a reduced pre-sale price of 279 yuan ($38) as opposed to the initial 299 yuan ($41).

For those unfamiliar with electric thermoses, they're essentially electric hot water dispensers or kettles, primarily engineered for the purpose of heating water and maintaining its temperature. Integrated with heating elements, insulation, and temperature control mechanisms, these devices are celebrated for their swift heating abilities. This makes them versatile and a staple in many kitchens.

Xiaomi's Mijia Smart Electric Thermos 5L doesn't merely settle for the basics. It's designed with consumer convenience and safety in mind. The thermos features a high-grade glass inner lining that’s touted as "baby-grade," and is paired with a 316 stainless steel heating plate. This not only promises quality but also ensures safe usage. Additionally, it integrates a sturdy hard glass water outlet pipe to enhance its functionality.

A defining feature of this thermos is its one-click extension for boiling time, tailored to eradicate any residual chlorine in water, ensuring healthier consumption. Its power credentials are impressive too. With a 1600W capability, it can bring 5 liters of water to a boil in just 18 minutes. To enhance user convenience further, Xiaomi has embedded a cooling circulation airway technology in this device, which reportedly reduces the cooling downtime for boiled water by half.

Diverse user needs are acknowledged with the provision of three distinct boiling modes: tap water mode, pure water mode, and cool boiled water mode. Its meticulous temperature control feature enables users to select temperatures anywhere between 40°C to 90°C. The insulation is effectively managed by controllable silicon, and the device's double-layered insulation design, which pairs a glass inner liner with a PP outer shell, is further optimized with a hollow insulation layer for prolonged heat retention.
