Xiaomi introduces a new charger now
With each passing day, the Chinese tech giant Xiaomi keeps presenting us with new products.
Xiaomi has unveiled its new 90W charger, now available for a modest price of 199 yuan ($28) on Xiaomi's official online platform. This specific model is the same one included as a standard accessory with the Xiaomi 13 Ultra purchase.
The charger comes with a 100cm Type-C original data cable and integrates a smart recognition chip. This unique chip empowers the charger to adjust its output power automatically, adapting to the distinct energy needs of varying devices. Dimension-wise, it measures 55.9 x 49.3 x 28mm and delivers an impressive peak output of 90W at 20V 4.5A.

Based on evaluations by the “Charging Head Network,” the charger is versatile, supporting multiple charging protocols like QC3.0, PD 3.0, DCP, and Xiaomi’s own 90W rapid charging method. The inclusion of PD 3.0 fast charging gives it a broad compatibility spectrum, offering both fixed and private PPS voltage levels.
A significant highlight is its design, which harnesses the power of third-generation GaN (Gallium Nitride) semiconductor material. This results in a smaller, lightweight charger with superior heat conduction efficiency. Safety remains paramount for Xiaomi. They've equipped this charger with protective features against potential risks such as over-voltage, high temperatures, current surges, short-circuits, and electrostatic anomalies. Additionally, the charger's outer shell is crafted to be fire-resistant and withstand high temperatures, combined with a smart temperature control mechanism ensuring safer operations.
