Xiaomi introduced its new projector at an attractive price

Xiaomi recently unveiled a variety of new products at a launch event in China, with the Redmi Note 13 series and Redmi Pad SE taking center stage. However, the company also introduced the audience to two innovative projectors, the Redmi Projector 2 and its Pro version.

The Redmi Projector 2 is available in Green and Sand shades. Notably, it boasts a brightness of 180 CVIA lumens. A distinctive feature of this projector is its proprietary omnidirectional correction AI algorithm. This technology, combined with an integrated motor, allows the device to automatically adjust its focus as soon as it's powered on. The projector employs a custom-made fully enclosed optical system paired with an ultra-clear high-definition lens. This combination ensures that the projector can deliver vivid visuals for up to a decade. With a clear 1080P resolution, the projector has a 1.2:1 projection ratio. On the audio front, it's equipped with two built-in speakers that utilize the advanced WANOS China panoramic virtual sound field encoding tech, ensuring listeners are immersed in a layered audio experience.

On the other hand, the Redmi Projector 2 Pro, the more advanced version, showcases an enclosed optical system that enhances light efficiency by half, delivering an even brighter output. This premium device uses a custom aspheric lens for even clearer visuals. It's been certified by SGS to provide a brightness of 300 CVIA lumens, coupled with a 1080P resolution and a consistent 1.2:1 projection ratio. A unique feature is its custom TOF (Time-of-Flight) laser sensing module, which works in tandem with a high-definition camera and AI-powered algorithms. This synergy enables precise image setting adjustments. The adaptive image system combined with a six-axis gyroscope means users won't need to fiddle with manual calibrations. Internally, this projector runs on the Amlogic T950D4 chip, and offers a storage capacity of 1.5GB+32GB. Similar to its counterpart, it also houses dual speakers that employ WANOS China's panoramic sound tech for a premium auditory experience.

For those interested in pricing, the Redmi Projector 2 is initially priced at 999 yuan ($136), but its retail cost is 1,299 yuan ($176). The Pro version starts at 1,399 yuan ($190) but is retailed at 1,699 yuan ($229).
