Sony has hinted at the upcoming launch with the phrase “What happens when #TheBestSilence Drops by Sony?” The product unveiling is scheduled for September 27 at 2 pm IST. It is anticipated that the Indian variant of the Sony WF-1000XM5 will mirror its international counterpart. These earbuds feature an in-ear design to ensure maximum comfort. From an audio perspective, they come equipped with a Dynamic Driver X, LDAC, and DSEE Extreme for an enriched and authentic sound experience. They also offer 360-degree audio, providing users with a truly immersive listening session. One standout feature is the head-tracking technology, which modulates sound output based on the user's head movement.
The earbuds boast active noise cancellation supported by three microphones. Their AI-driven noise reduction algorithm and bone conduction sensor ensure that calls remain clear and true-to-life, even in loud environments. Additionally, these earbuds combat wind noise, making outdoor calls clearer. As for battery life, users can expect 8 hours of continuous usage, which extends to 16 hours with the provided charging case. Among other features, these earbuds offer multipoint connection, speak-to-chat functionality, and compatibility with music platforms like Spotify and Apple Music.
While the Sony WF-1000XM5 retails for $299 in the US, Indian customers will need to wait a little longer for details on local pricing.
