Samsung reportedly developing Exynos 2400 with 10-core CPU
The specifications of rumored Exynos 2400 has been leaked by a famous tipster. The leak shows off that Exynos 2400 might include Cortex-X4 core.
Samsung has opted to use Qualcomm's chipsets instead of their own Exynos processors for the Galaxy S23 series this year, launching the devices with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC globally. However, it is rumored that the Exynos processors will return next year with the Galaxy S24 series, powered by the Exynos 2400 SoC in certain regions. A reputable source has recently revealed additional information about the upcoming mobile processor.
Samsung's upcoming Exynos 2400 might bag Cortex-X4 core
According to the well-known tipster Ice Universe, the Exynos 2400 is currently in development. Unlike other mobile processors that have an octa-core design, the Exynos 2400 will feature 10 cores. The cores are speculated to include: 1 Cortex-X4, 2 high-frequency Cortex-A720, 3 low-frequency Cortex-A720, and 4 Cortex-A520.
The leaked information suggests that the Exynos 2400 is a exciting option. Meanwhile, other manufacturers (Qualcomm, MediaTek) may also implement deca-core architecture in their upcoming flagship chips due to Samsung's switch.
As TechtUSA previously reported, Samsung appears to have reached a "perfect level" for its 3nm GAA chip yields; consequently, mass production of the chipset utilizing the aforementioned technology would be the obvious option. Stay tuned for the new details.
