In a mere span of two days, Realme initially introduced the Buds Air 5 Pro for the Indian market. However, an intriguing twist surfaced today, showcasing a distinct variation characterized by differences in size, LED placement, and a captivating blue hue. This intriguing variant is likely the standard Buds Air 5, poised to succeed its predecessor, the Buds Air 3.
Delving into the specifics, the Buds Air 5 Pro boasts impressive components, including 11 mm woofers and 6 mm planar drivers. Notably, these earphones incorporate active noise cancellation (ANC) and offer support for the high-bitrate LDAC codec. Additionally, they exhibit a splash-proof design, safeguarding against both sweat and sporadic rain showers. With a configuration of six microphones (three on each earbud), Realme asserts that these earphones can effectively attenuate up to 50 dB of ambient noise. Furthermore, their battery life is commendable, delivering 11 hours of usage with ANC deactivated or an impressive 40 hours when considering the combined lifespan with the charging case.
One aspect that remains shrouded in uncertainty is the pricing. While the Pro variant commands a price tag of CNY 399 ($60) in China, it's important to note that this figure is poised to rise in India following the inclusion of taxes and tariffs. As the anticipation builds, consumers eagerly await the official pricing announcement for these remarkable audio wearables in the Indian market.
