MediaTek's Dimensity 9200+ sets new Android record on Geekbench 6 prior to launch
The Dimensity 9200+ has broken the Android CPU performance record with its outstanding benchmark scores.
MediaTek made an announcement that it was going to release the Dimensity 9200+, its latest flagship chipset, in China on May 10. This new chipset was anticipated to be an improved version of its forerunner, the Dimensity 9200.
As per the reports by Digital Chat Station, the Dimensity 9200+ chipset has managed to break all the previous Android CPU performance records with an outstanding single-core score of 2121 points and a multi-core score of 5655 points on the popular benchmarking tool, Geekbench. These scores exceed the performance of any other Android processor that has been tested so far.
It is a significant achievement for the Taiwanese-based chip manufacturer MediaTek, as the Dimensity 9200+ is expected to be a highly competitive processor in the market.
What about the specifications of Dimensity 9200+?
Recent reports reveal that the Dimensity 9200+ chipset comprises of an octa-core architecture, including a 3.35GHz Cortex-X3 super large core, three 3.0GHz A175 large cores, and four A510 small cores.
Additionally, the chipset has an Immortalis G715-MC11 core for its GPU. The high power of the large core, running at 3.0GHz, is considered one of the key factors behind the processor's exceptional performance.
