There have been instances of tech smuggling in the past, involving a range of devices and components, such as smartphones, laptops, computer processors, and other electronics.

China Customs has reportedly intercepted an individual attempting to smuggle 239 Intel 13th Gen CPUs valued at $46,000, which were allegedly concealed by wrapping them around the smuggler's waist. Man busted trying to sneak $46K of Intel 13th Gen CPUs across China's borders

It is not unexpected that incidents of tech smuggling have been reported, particularly given that the US government has implemented mandates that restrict China's import and export channels. These regulations have created challenges for legitimate trade between the two countries, and may also be contributing to an increase in smuggling activity.

The man who was intercepted by officials attempting to smuggle 239 Intel 13th Gen CPUs was found with the processors attached to his abdomen, waist, and thighs using tape, according to reports.

After confiscating the CPUs, officials were able to determine that they had a value of $46,844 based on Intel's recommended customer price of $196 per chip. The case is reportedly currently undergoing further processing in accordance with regulations.
