Lenovo officially unveils its new mixed reality headset

Lenovo, a prominent name in technology, has recently revealed its state-of-the-art lightweight Augmented Reality (AR) glasses known as Morningstar G2. Characterized by a binocular 1080p stereoscopic display light engine capable of achieving maximum brightness of 2,000 nits, the new AR glasses are both portable and pocket-friendly.

The Lenovo Morningstar G2 comes equipped with a built-in 9-axis sensor fusion algorithm and a light machine that boasts a 50% transmittance. This unique feature ensures users can simultaneously see the display and their surrounding environment, providing an immersive AR experience. The G2 also utilizes device-side IMU data, fostering image stability and ensuring a comfortable user experience. Additionally, the glasses come with an integrated cloud AI anti-shake algorithm, guaranteeing low power consumption, reduced latency, and a wide-angle rotation for first-view video.

The Morningstar G2 exhibits a multitude of interaction methods, including gaze, touchscreen, gestures, and buttons. It supports connectivity with Android phones, iPhones, and Screencast, promoting versatile usage. Not limited to recreational use, the G2 can also cater to industrial applications such as visual management, digital or manual maintenance guides, remote collaboration, and inspection or workflow activities. Its portability and AI recognition capability make it suitable for varied fields such as museum tours, security, and education, as it supports scene-based AI detection and recognition algorithms.

The Lenovo Morningstar G2 light AR glasses incorporate several applications to ensure optimal performance. These include Xingbao for virtual information utilization, a holographic player, and an instant recording tool. The included 3D web browser further enhances the gadget's versatility. However, Lenovo has yet to disclose the pricing and availability details for the Morningstar G2 light AR glasses.
