The trophy's design incorporates a touch-sensitive microswitch connected to an intricate LED light system. These lights are programmed to display the winner’s flag. A soft illumination indicates where the winner should make contact to trigger the chosen display, enhancing the podium ceremony's ambiance. Philip Marchington, the Executive Creative Director of Corporate Marketing at Lenovo, expressed the sentiment behind this innovation, emphasizing that the podium celebration captures pure joy and excitement. He added that their trophy innovation enriches this tradition, being a fitting reward for the world's finest drivers in the premier motor racing competition.
Though Formula racing may not appeal to everyone, there's no denying that this merger of technology and sports is a testament to Lenovo's commitment to innovation. One can't help but wonder who will be the first to lift this remarkable trophy.
